Sports:• Raft, tube, or canoe the Slocan River, just out your front door, or kayak rapids on the lower end. Put in or take out on the property. Or watch the action from your chair at Valhalla. Swim at Winlaw Nature Park. • Fly fish for excitable 12-18" rainbows in the clear, green pools of the Slocan, jewel of the West Kootenays. Dave Brown guides available.

Revel in wildlife and scenery as you walk or
bike the
rails-to-trails
multipurpose path along the river, starting at the
back of our property.
• Bike or cruise easy valley backroads; discover fragrant eateries, delightful galleries, well-done museums, friendly locals. Or mountain-bike adjacent back-country on dozens of abandoned logging roads & access roads.

Hike valley trails; pick blueberries and
huckleberries in late summer.

Explore the pristine wilderness of Airy
Mountain, Drinnon Pass, and Valhalla
Provincial Park, with rare
road access by our door. Hike, bike, berry-pick in
summer.

Golf the
spectacular 9-hole Valley View golf course at Appledale,
with river below, peaks above. Also enjoy nearby Nelson,
Castlegar, and Nakusp golfing. |

rails-to-trails path which follows the river.

and save two hours per day vs staying in Nelson.
